Jordan Blakeney MA, LPCA

Hello, I’m Jordan Blakeney, a committed professional with a strong background in education and counseling, driven by a passion for helping others reach their full potential. My journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education
from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, followed by nine rewarding years teaching. Seeing firsthand the importance of social-emotional support, I went on to earn a Master’s Counseling Degree from Grand Canyon University and
a Life Coach Certificate from the International Association of Professions Career College in 2023. In 2024, I expanded my role by becoming a wedding officiant, allowing me to celebrate and support couples during an important life milestone.

I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Prepare and Enrich Pre-Marital Counseling. My training also includes Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), with 21 hours of continuing education and further self-directed studies. While I use playful techniques and activities to help explore feelings and build coping skills, please note that I am not a licensed play therapist.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of therapy that helps you understand and heal different parts of yourself, so you can feel more balanced, self-compassionate, and in control of your life.
  • Prepare and Enrich Premarital Counseling is a program that helps couples strengthen their relationship by identifying strengths, improving communication, and building skills for a healthy, lasting partnership.

I believe in understanding the whole person and leveraging their strengths to facilitate growth and
fulfillment.
