Year-end Letter 2022
Charles and Buffy Wimmer | Israel Trip | October 2022
Dear Friends of Collaborative Counseling Group:
We hope and pray that this year-end letter finds each of you and your families doing well, in good health, and enjoying this season of celebrating the birth of Jesus. This has been a banner year for Collaborative Counseling Group, and we have so much to be thankful for in all that God has done in 2022. We have been working hard to update some of our internal processes along with several key opportunities to improve our marketing and communication efforts.
For those of you who do not know, we have moved our main office to Baxter Village in Fort Mill, SC. This allows our practice to continue to grow with additional space while staying centralized between the counties of York, Lancaster, Chester, Gaston, and South Mecklenburg County.
This move has also allowed for two additional counselors to join our group! Jordan Blakeney joins us from the Tampa, FL, area and will be finishing her internship with us. Steven Rivera is from the Charlotte/ Fort Mill area and is a recent graduate from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Both Jordan and Steven practice in several counseling areas but will specifically focus on helping children and teenagers.
Buffy and I had the opportunity to travel to the Holy Land with our dear friends and Board Members, Scott and Susan Carr, this past October. The trip was both a celebration of my hip's healing and a discipleship retreat where we were spiritually refreshed and inspired for continued ministry work in 2023.
Finally, as we close out our 7th year in practice, we are blessed to see the work of God in the restoration and healing of individuals, marriages, and families who have walked through our doors. We have logged over 10,000 client hours, and this year alone, we have provided financial assistance at just over $18,000 for individuals who need counseling but cannot afford it.
Buffy and I, along with the Collaborative staff and Board, are excited about the continued growth of the ministry in 2023 and beyond. With plans to grow the internship program and partner with like-minded ministries in the Southeast to further the mission through couples intensive weekends and men's/ women’s retreats, the Lord is fanning the flame of Collaborative Counseling. We would be honored if you would consider supporting this mission to:
Provide professional counseling services to individuals, couples and families in need. Through collaboration, we hope to offer guidance and empathy that will restore and heal their lives.
Thank you again for your support and prayers! Merry Christmas and have a very blessed and Happy New Year!
Sincerely Grateful,
Charles & Buffy Wimmer
