Beth Shepherd
MACC, LPCA
Beth is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan and earned a Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling from Denver Seminary in 2008. Beth worked in residential treatment, counseling adolescents and their families in the foothills of Colorado. Since moving to the Charlotte area, she has counseled couples, individuals, and adolescents in a Christian Counseling center before joining Collaborative Counseling Group. Beth is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Beth is passionate about helping her clients find healing and freedom from their struggles. She is trained in the Soul-Healing Love model of couples therapy, an attachment-based Christian Counseling model that helps couples resolve conflicts, find forgiveness, and grow close, lasting bonds with one another. Beth also works with individuals in areas of depression, anxiety, addictions, anger management, ADHD, parenting, grief and loss, life transitions, relationships, and chronic health issues.
Beth has been married for 18 years and has three children. She is currently taking new clients.

Buffy Wimmer
Founder, MACC, LPC
Buffy is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her undergraduate degree from University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill and her Masters in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
Buffy primarily focuses on trauma therapy utilizing both EMDR and Brainspotting.

Charles Wimmer
Founder, LRS, PSS
Charles Wimmer is a Certified Life Recovery Coach & Mentor to those in or coming out of addictions and mental illness. As an ordained minister he administers couple assessments to pre-engaged and engaged couples and is a certified trainer of facilitators for Prepare/Enrich.

Kristie Young
MACC, LPCA
Kristie is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who is passionate about creating a safe, client-centered space where hope and healing can take root.
She works with children (ages 10+), adolescents, individuals, and families—helping each person build a healthier relationship with themselves and with others.

Kristin Elizabeth
LPCA, CBT
Kristin is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who graduated from Colorado Christian University in 2025 with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling.
She specializes in trauma-informed, attachment-focused therapy for children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Kristin is a Certified Brainspotting Therapist and has completed Levels I and II of Gottman Method Couples Therapy, as well as training in The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work.
