Pre-Marital Counseling

Congratulations on your engagement! In addition to all the necessary planning of finding the perfect venue, the ideal wedding cake, and of course a beautiful honeymoon together, the first step is to be as prepared as possible for enjoying life together as a married couple.

Pre-marital counseling is an important step to better understand your future spouse and how the two of you will live, work, plan, and overcome challenges together. Our pre-marital counseling process uses an approach that established a strong foundation for any marriage relationship and provides tools to use in your future life together.

Couples will engage in one-to-one counseling and assessment through the Prepare/Enrich and Symbis curriculums. The first session is typically 90-minutes and each additional session is typically 60-minutes in length. There are a minimum of 5 sessions for the pre-marital counseling program and therefore they will need to be scheduled at least 4-5 months in advance of your wedding date.

If you are also interested in an ordained Christian minister to officiate your wedding, Charles Wimmer is available for couples that have completed pre-marital counseling through Collaborative Counseling or another certified counseling practice.
